The Italian Rock is a heritage hybrid developed right here at Cedar Crest Farm, combining the prolific egg-laying prowess of the Italian Leghorn with the hardiness of the Barred Rock. One of the greatest traits is that the large comb has been bred out of the pullet.  This is particularly advantageous as our winters are harsh and frostbite happens when large, floppy combs get wet.  A tighter comb is less likely to get injured, frostbit or damaged and will keep your bird healthier!  (The comb is a critical to your birds' health)

This thoughtfully bred bird delivers exceptional productivity while offering practical advantages for farm management.
